I’m Taylor Mackenzie

Ever since I was little, I found myself reaching for a camera whenever I had the chance. There has always been something about it that drew me in, the quiet way one photo could hold so much emotion, memory, and meaning. What started as a hobby has slowly grown with me into something much more intentional.

Now in my twenties, photography has become one of the most meaningful ways I move through and make sense of the world. I am drawn to the small, easy to miss moments. The light through the trees, a passing expression, the feeling a place carries for just a second before it changes. I love that photography allows us to hold onto something that would otherwise be gone in an instant.

I have always felt deeply connected to the world around me, and taking photos feels like a way of honouring that. It is more than just capturing what something looked like. It is about preserving how it felt. The quiet, the warmth, the in between moments that often say the most.

When I am not behind the lens, you can usually find me riding passenger on an off road adventure, curled up with a good book, crocheting, or writing. In many ways, photography and writing feel closely connected to me. Both are rooted in noticing. Both are about telling stories, holding emotion, and finding beauty in the everyday.

That is the heart behind my work. A love for quiet moments, honest feeling, and the stories that live within them.
