The Equipment Behind the Work
the gear and equipment that allow me to capture and curate my best work
Photography is about so much more than the gear in your hands, but the right tools do make a difference. They shape how light is rendered, how a moment is captured, and how close you can get to the feeling you are trying to preserve. This page is a straightforward look at what I shoot with and why it suits the work I do.

Fragments come and often go before we even notice they are gone. I wish to capture a glimpse into those moments and create something for you hold onto.
My entire featured portfolio was shot on my Canon T6, a camera I genuinely love and started this journey with. The T6 shaped how I see light, how I move through a session, and what I look for in an image. Earlier this year I upgraded to the Canon R7, and it has meaningfully changed how I work.
It is a modern mirrorless camera that handles natural light beautifully, autofocuses with quiet precision, and produces detailed, clean image files that hold up beautifully in editing. The mirrorless system is smaller and quieter than traditional DSLRs, which matters more than people might expect.
A quieter camera means a calmer session, and a calmer session means more genuine moments.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM
This is the lens I reach for most. The 40mm focal length sits in a natural, comfortable range that feels close without being intrusive. Shot wide open, it allows for soft, shallow depth of field with warm, creamy backgrounds, which is central to my style. It is small, unobtrusive, and incredibly versatile across portraits, lifestyle work, and detail photography.
Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM
This is my wide angle lens, used primarily for interior and commercial photography. When the goal is to capture a full room, a sweeping landscape, or a space in its entirety, this lens gives images the room they need to breathe. It is sharp, reliable, and does exactly what good architectural and interior photography requires.
Every image I deliver is edited in Adobe Lightroom. My editing style is warm, natural, and intentional. I work to make images feel like the moment actually felt, with true skin tones, grounded colours, and a soft, earthy finish. No heavy filters, no artificial looks. Just careful, considered editing that serves the image.
Equipment evolves and so does the work. I invest in tools that genuinely improve what I can offer, and I am always learning how to use what I have more thoughtfully. If you have questions about my setup or how it applies to a specific project, I am always happy to talk through it.
